Period home in Redland, Bristol.
A long standing client of Valley Of Bath approached us for our professional advice and potential costings as they were considering the purchase of a Victorian Period family house in Redland, Bristol.
They initially asked for options for the key, Period features to be reinstated plus costings and possibilities for a handmade kitchen.
We made recommendations for key improvements and one of these was improving the lack of space for a functional utility area.
We proposed relocating this to the first floor behind a panelled wall which has a secret door within it. This was also behind the bathroom which made the transfer of washing easier.
Whilst carrying out the panel work we also reinstated a window seat and further paneling to the bathroom giving the room a traditional period feel which was all hand finished in Farrow Ball paints.
Valley were also commissioned to refurbish the kitchen and dining areas which included the supply of one of our traditional English handmade kitchens finished in Paint & Paper Library colors with a mix of granite and oak tops.
The floors were relayed using a wide oak board finished is Osmo hardwax.
A lovely project with multiple challenges which we'd like to think we rose to.
